Watch the Fastest Swim Meet Ever

Quick Reminder – US Olympic Trials starts Sunday night, June 29th

See the best athletes our country has ever produced in our sport. It is easily the deepest and fastest competition the world has ever seen. These amazing people actually have the audacity to roll side to side, and kick with their legs – streamline really well, and they won’t pull up the last 5 yards. Amazing what these little features can do for your performance.

Forgive me, I could not resist - I know each of us takes pride in what we do.  It is simply amazing to watch just how common greatness is within all the competitiors, their underwater work, how long their reach, and how powerful each pull, and just how amazingly fast everybody kicks ~no matter what the event distance may happen to be. Please pay attention to your sport – at it’s best.

All this to select perhaps the best overall team the US has ever brought to the Olympic Games.

Up Close and Personal

Offical_small

Black Dog Swimming has long had a strong presence in the swimming community with several parents serving as swimming officials at competitions. We’re currently looking for a few more individuals to step up and continue our tradition! It’s a great way to learn about the official rules of the sport and to give back to the swimming community! And talk about being “close to the action”!

Learning more, helping everyone compete fairly, putting yourself in a role that is appreciated and respected by swimmers and coaches is a great way to be more involved in your child’s sport.

Training is provided by MSI and by “shadowing” certified officials at sanctioned meets. Once established, you can even be right there on deck with the National meets we host here in the Twin Cites. Olympians will be within an arms reach.

If you have an eye for detail and are interested in learning more about this opportunity, please contact Carol Webb (Click the image above).

Thanks for considering this unique opportunity.

Message from Black Dog Swimming President...

Our team consists of nearly 200 swimmers from various communities South of The River [Apple Valley, Eagan, Burnsville, Savage, Prior Lake, Lakeville, etc.]. We currently hold practice at 4 pools: Eagle Ridge Junior High in Savage; Burnsville High School; Rosemount Middle School and Twin Oaks/Hidden Oaks Middle schools in Prior Lake.

Our goals are simple: to encourage our swimmers and families to have fun while developing a high level of self-esteem, goals, sportsmanship, physical fitness, and a positive outlook. Black Dog Swimmers range in age from 6 to 25 with skill levels just as broad!

Our certified coaches maintain a philosophy of developing our swimmers in all strokes and all distances. Many of our swimmers compete locally, some travel out of state, and others compete at national events, depending on skill level. Our coaching staff is dedicated to the sport of swimming and to continuing our team’s tradition of excellence.

I encourage anyone who is considering competitive swimming to try one of our 8-week Novice sessions to see if Black Dog Swimming is right for you!

Please contact me for further information and we'll see you at the pool……….
